The company is deepening its expertise and leveraging the strengths and talent in deep foundations in Eastern Canada.
Saint-Pierre-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, September 5, 2023 – With the acquisition of ETPO Géodex, CBF Drilling has taken a major step forward in its growth and strengthened its vision of becoming a leader in deep foundations in Eastern Canada. Founded in 1950, this family-run business is doubling its qualified resources, adding a new dimension to a team already renowned for its vast expertise.
Both companies have been firmly established in Quebec for many years, with a combined history of over 120 years in their respective sectors. By combining their complementary strengths and pooling their talents, over 200 resources will now be able to offer customers even greater expertise, as well as wider geographical coverage, to successfully meet the most complex challenges of large-scale projects.
“The CBF family continues to grow, and we are delighted to welcome and integrate the talented Géodex team into our own. We are thus consolidating our position as market leader in Eastern Canada, offering unrivalled expertise in the most complex structures. We’re also opening the doors wide to new talent, who will see in us the unique opportunity to be part of a close-knit family for whom the values of teamwork, mutual support, innovation and accomplishment remain the true pillars of its daily actions. Our people thrive on challenges, and this acquisition will give them even more opportunities to be part of something big. What’s more, bringing Géodex back into a 100% Quebec-owned organization is a source of great pride for us,” says David Blais, President of CBF.
“It’s a unique opportunity for us to join the CBF family, a business partner that shares the ambitions and values that are at the root of our success, and that will ensure our growth and future while continuing to offer our customers service that exceeds their expectations, and our employees stimulating prospects,” says Michel Audet, Vice President, Operations at Géodex.
In addition to Forage CBF and Géodex, the CBF family also includes other entities, such as Action SST and Équipe SST, two leaders in occupational health and safety, as well as Soudure CBF, Immobilier CBF and a partnership with Services mécaniques Aubin, specialized in worksite mechanics.
